The Grandstream Wave is capable of integrating with any IP PBX.  This app can be used for individual accounts as well as on our Hosted PBX.  Users can make and receive voice and video calls through their business or residential VoIP accounts on any Android™ device (version 4.1+) or iPhone from anywhere in the world, using of mobile data or WiFi.

  1. Download Grandstream Wave from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. After it’s installed, open the app, tap on SETTINGS, then on ACCOUNT SETTINGS and then tap on the plus (+)  icon located on the top right of the page.
  3. Select UCM Account (QR code scan) and scan the code received from Ugo Telecoms.
  4. Once the account has been successfully configured and registered on the network, a green dot will display and you will be able to make and receive phone calls.  A red dot indicates that the account has not registered successfully.
  5. To ensure quality of calls:  Scroll down to CODEC SETTINGS and set DTMF to RFC2883
  6.  Preferred Vocoder:  select the following  codecs under WiFI and/or 2G/3G/4G
    • G729 (Slide this codec to the first slot to prioritize it)
    • PCMA
    • PCMU
    Remember to tap on the check mark (√) to save  all your changes.
  7. Under SIP SETTINGS:  change the REGISTER EXPIRATION (m) to 5
  8. Tap on the KEYPAD icon to exit SETTINGS
  9. You will be able to make and receive phone calls.
  10. NOTE:  remember to keep the Grandstream Wave open, allowing you to make and receive phone calls.  All calls made from the Grandstream Wave App, will be made from your VoIP Account, and not from your cellphone account.
